Job description
Planning, design, construction, operations, asset management and digital twin work across Qiddiya all draw on geospatial information, and this Director in Riyadh makes sure it can be trusted as an enterprise asset. Leading the GIS team, you are also the business owner for the Esri Enterprise platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server and the Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE). Governance frameworks, data stewardship, decision rights and authoritative datasets are defined at this level, and GIS governance and technical review forums are chaired by you. Geodatabase standards cover branch versioning, editing, reconciliation and publishing, with schema changes needing your approval. Platform availability, performance, disaster recovery and upgrade planning sit here too. Projects submit geospatial deliverables from consultants and contractors that must pass QA/QC against approved standards, and stage-gate reviews rely on that assurance. Integration with BIM, CAD, Civil 3D, asset management systems and digital twins is another major thread. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in GIS, geomatics, surveying, geography, information management, computer science or engineering, 10 to 15 years in GIS or enterprise spatial systems and 5 to 10 years in leadership. A master's degree, Esri Technical Certification, PMP or PRINCE2 and data governance certifications are desirable.
