Job description
Electrical infrastructure works on Saadiyat fall under this role's day-to-day supervision, working alongside the Resident Engineer to keep delivery aligned with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE standards. You assist in supervising electrical infrastructure works and associated items, stepping in for the Resident Engineer whenever required. Coordination runs in several directions at once, linking other engineers, the construction supervision team, and design engineers on technical issues and site queries. Shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals, and related correspondence all pass through this role for review, with responses drafted for RE approval. Contractor scheduling and resource deployment get monitored closely, feeding into progress measurement and reporting. Inspectors and surveyors report into this position, and daily diaries get maintained to keep site records complete. Meetings with service authorities, contractors, and stakeholders on electrical works often need chairing or attendance. Safety stays a constant thread through the role, with HSE procedures implemented and monitored on site. Weekly and monthly progress reports, along with as-built records and handover documentation, round out the reporting responsibilities.
