Job description
Wood is hiring a Project Control Manager to support Maāadenās PMT in the development of a new gold mine and processing facility in Saudi Arabia, aligned with Vision 2030 and Maāadenās 2040 objectives. Based in Al-Khobar (with work also in Riyadh), this role ensures successful project execution through integrated project scheduling, detailed activity tracking, cost management, risk assessment, and stakeholder reporting. The role requires expertise in planning, forecasting, change management, and document control across all project phases, from front-end design to construction completion.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PMT integrated project schedules with detailed activity tracking and critical path analysis.
- Review EPCM progress reports, manpower histograms, S-curves, and productivity assessments.
- Develop and issue weekly and monthly IPMT reports per Maāaden reporting requirements.
- Assist Maāaden in implementing a progress measurement system for manufacturing and procurement.
- Support cost management through budget control, forecasting, change management, and variance analysis.
- Assist in project risk management, including identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Develop invoicing requirement procedures including registration in SRM.
- Prepare stakeholder presentations, governance documentation, and facilitate gate reviews under the Maāaden Capital Investment System (MCIS).
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project execution goals.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree in Engineering or related discipline with planning and commercial skills.
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience in project control positions.
- Significant experience supervising and managing project control teams.
- Substantial expertise in planning, progress measurement, cost control, change management, and document control.
- Experience across all project phases, from front-end design to construction completion.
- Thorough knowledge of project control practices, calculation methods, software, standards, and specifications.
- Ability to prepare and present reports, budgets, and stakeholder documentation.
- Strong understanding of project risk management and governance frameworks.
