Job description
Between product development and production at Halcon, part of EDGE Group, sits the test equipment that proves each defence and aerospace product works, and this Abu Dhabi position designs it. Electronic test equipment, test jigs and automated test solutions are built for PCB assemblies, subassemblies and subsystems. Firmware and software for test automation and product validation are written across several languages and toolchains. Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test requirements are turned into practical hardware and software test interfaces. MCUs, FPGAs, embedded systems and hardware-software integration are everyday territory. Mechatronics projects run under your lead, with design reviews, mentoring of junior engineers and best practice in testing and validation all part of the job. Experience with ATE, production test systems, qualification rigs and HIL or system-level test setups will stand out. Requirements are 12 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or 8 with a master's, ideally in defence, aerospace, missile or UAV programmes.
