Job description
The Manager – Corporate Tax role within Tax Advisory Services at BDO UAE is responsible for delivering a wide range of corporate tax advisory and compliance services to clients. The position focuses primarily on corporate tax advisory and compliance while also contributing to cross-functional business development initiatives and project management activities. The role requires advanced technical knowledge of mature corporate tax jurisdictions, hands-on experience delivering advisory, compliance, or litigation services within high-performance teams, and working knowledge of UAE and international corporate tax frameworks. Exposure to UAE VAT, Transfer Pricing, OECD Pillar 1.0 and Pillar 2.0, FATCA, CRS, CbCR, GCC customs, and VAT is included, along with understanding of UAE legal and regulatory requirements such as licensing and permissible free zone operations. The role also involves managing pursuit lists, preparing initial presentations, handling multiple client and internal requests, coordinating on-site and off-site teams, ensuring compliance with audit independence conflict protocols, and training and developing teams to support advisory, structuring, and compliance engagements while identifying market opportunities and strengthening long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver corporate tax advisory and compliance services to clients across UAE and international jurisdictions
- Support cross-functional business development initiatives including managing pursuit lists, follow-ups, and initial client presentations
- Manage multiple internal and external client requests simultaneously while maintaining service quality
- Apply advanced technical corporate tax knowledge across advisory, compliance, and litigation engagements
- Ensure adherence to audit independence conflict protocols and procedures
- Coordinate effectively with on-site and off-site support teams
- Plan and manage projects including work progress tracking, responsibility matrices, scheduling status calls, and engagement closures
- Train, develop, and mentor teams supporting advisory, structuring, and compliance engagements
- Schedule and deliver internal and external technical training sessions
- Identify new market opportunities and service offerings
- Establish, retain, and manage strong client relationships
- Support engagements involving transfer pricing, UAE VAT, Pillar 1.0 and 2.0, FATCA, CRS, CbCR, GCC customs, and VAT matters
- Advise on UAE legal and regulatory requirements including licensing and free zone operations
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 6+ years of post-qualification experience in a large accounting firm with multi-jurisdictional presence
- Strong knowledge of UAE and international corporate tax
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent with a graduation degree in accounting
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Arabic language skills considered a value-add
- Experience in business development, project management, and client relationship management within tax advisory services
