Job description
The Relationship Manager – Acquisition (Injaz) within Mashreq’s Retail Banking Group is responsible for driving new-to-bank Emirati client acquisition and expanding the bank’s Islamic and retail banking presence. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, delivering liabilities growth, and cross-selling banking products while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new Emirati clients to grow the bank’s retail and Islamic banking portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term engagement and wallet share growth.
- Deliver agreed liabilities targets and achieve cross-selling goals across banking products and services.
- Identify and manage business opportunities aligned with the bank’s risk-reward parameters.
- Coordinate with internal teams across Retail Banking Group (RBG), Corporate & Institutional Banking Group (CIBG), and SME FX teams to maximize client opportunities.
- Ensure smooth service delivery to clients through effective intra-organizational coordination.
- Monitor credit risk exposure associated with facilities execution and ensure appropriate risk management.
- Ensure full compliance with bank policies including KYC, AML, account reviews, and monitoring of high-value transactions.
- Maintain consistent productivity and performance as a proactive self-starter.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Experience in retail banking, relationship management, or financial services sales.
- Strong ability to acquire and manage client relationships.
- Knowledge of banking products, liabilities growth strategies, and Islamic banking services.
- Understanding of compliance requirements including KYC and AML.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive business growth.
