Job description
The Commercial Lead – Logistics role within Careem Express in Riyadh is responsible for driving commercial growth, client acquisition, and revenue expansion for last-mile delivery and fulfillment services across industries including e-commerce, food, grocery, and non-food verticals. Careem Express operates as a startup within the Careem ecosystem, delivering fulfillment and last-mile logistics solutions for hundreds of merchants. The Commercial Lead acts as the primary client-facing representative responsible for building strong enterprise relationships, managing Tier 1 clients, and developing a sustainable demand pipeline. The role involves business development activities including prospecting, targeting, pitching, contract negotiation, and go-live execution for new accounts across Saudi Arabia. The position requires managing existing B2B clients, achieving monthly revenue targets, and coordinating internally with operations, logistics, and legal teams to ensure successful commercial outcomes. The Commercial Lead is responsible for aligning commercial proposals with operational capabilities, ensuring pricing accuracy, supporting contract closures, and maintaining strong collaboration across internal stakeholders. The role also focuses on expanding demand across food and non-food clients, driving revenue growth, and contributing to Careem Express’s expansion strategy across logistics, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment services.

Key responsibilities
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new enterprise accounts across Saudi Arabia, including targeting food, non-food, e-commerce, grocery, and on-demand logistics clients while managing the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach to go-live execution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 clients and enterprise partners by acting as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and long-term revenue growth through strategic account management and continuous engagement
- Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets by expanding existing B2B client accounts, onboarding new clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and managing demand generation across Careem Express logistics offerings
- Lead commercial negotiations with enterprise clients, including pricing discussions, service scope definition, contract terms, and commercial agreements while ensuring alignment with Careem Express business objectives and operational capabilities
- Coordinate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate commercial proposals, feasibility validation, pricing alignment, fulfillment readiness, and successful execution of logistics and last-mile delivery solutions
- Collaborate with legal teams to manage contract closure processes, review contractual terms, support negotiation adjustments, and ensure timely completion of agreements for new and existing client partnerships
- Develop and manage a strong commercial pipeline by targeting strategic clients, forecasting revenue opportunities, tracking deal progress, and ensuring sustainable demand generation across multiple verticals
- Support go-live execution for newly onboarded clients by coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring operational readiness, and managing initial launch performance and client expectations
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 2–3 years of Account Management or Sales experience within Food & Non-food B2B, E-commerce, or on-demand logistics environments with exposure to enterprise clients and revenue generation responsibilities
- Show proven track record of generating revenue, acquiring new clients, and expanding existing accounts through structured business development and sales strategies within logistics or e-commerce industries
- Exhibit strong business development capabilities including prospecting, pipeline management, pitching, commercial negotiations, and go-live execution for B2B clients
- Possess experience managing enterprise-level client relationships, including Tier 1 clients, while ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership growth
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, logistics, and legal stakeholders to support commercial proposals, contract closures, and service execution
- Show understanding of logistics, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment operations within e-commerce, food, grocery, or on-demand delivery ecosystems
- Demonstrate target-oriented performance with experience achieving monthly or quarterly revenue targets and managing commercial KPIs
- Display readiness to work in fast-paced startup environments with exposure to high-growth commercial operations and scalable logistics business models
