Job description
DP World is hiring a Financial Accountant for its Al Khobar operations to support the full spectrum of financial activities including reporting, taxation, compliance, and customer billing. This role demands a well-rounded accounting professional experienced in handling multi-entity reporting, intercompany entries, regulatory filings, and AR processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Saudi tax regulations (VAT, CIT, WHT), experience with internal and external audits, and the ability to communicate effectively with both local stakeholders and shared service centers. This is a key role within the finance function of a global logistics leader.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing vessel- and company-level budgets and forecasts
- Support timely month-end closures including intercompany transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial systems and reports
- Ensure compliance with Saudi tax laws including WHT, CIT, and VAT, and prepare monthly compliance reports
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to manage audit requirements
- Control and monitor operational budgets and ensure compliance with financial processes
- Work with shared service centers to obtain timely financial and procurement services
- Manage local petty cash in adherence to MOA policies
- Arrange accurate and timely payments to vendors, bank guarantees, and confirmations
- Submit IKTVA quarterly reports and coordinate yearly IKTVA audits
- Prepare quarterly CIF data for tax authority submission
- Raise timely and accurate customer invoices for various income streams including fuel and back charges
- Address client queries and billing discrepancies
- Follow up on overdue payments and maintain AR aging reports
- Prepare debtors and utilization reports for management
- Ensure accuracy of accounting ledgers and financial documentation
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3ā5 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate or maritime/logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of KSA tax laws and compliance procedures (WHT, CIT, VAT)
- Experience with monthly financial closings and reporting
- Previous exposure to internal and external audits
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
