Job description
Inventory ties up working capital, and at Emerson's Al Khobar site, this analyst is responsible for keeping it at the right level. Raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods all fall within scope, with the aim of avoiding stockouts while keeping excess and obsolete (E&O) stock under control. Day to day, you will track aging, slow-moving items, inventory turnover (ITO) and inventory accuracy, then turn those numbers into reports and dashboards built from ERP data. Finance relies on the same work for inventory valuation, provisions, adjustments and reconciliation. Variance analysis against budget, forecast and POR targets is another regular task, where the point is to explain performance gaps and flag business risks to management. Most weeks involve working with Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales and Customer Service, so stakeholder management matters as much as the analysis itself. Improvement work runs alongside the reporting, covering data quality, automation and inventory processes. The position suits someone with 2 to 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment and a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, operations management, engineering or a related field.
