Job description
The LIMS Specialist within M42’s Environmental Sciences (EVS) business unit is responsible for the daily administration, development, and support of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) supporting predictive wastewater surveillance, advanced industrial testing, and comprehensive environmental tracking and reporting initiatives. The role focuses on leading the development of LIMS functionality, implementing laboratory workflows, and ensuring regulatory compliance while acting as the primary liaison between IT and service users. The specialist manages complex laboratory master data including assays, specifications, and test plans, while maintaining system validation and compliance with ISO 17025 requirements and the Laboratory quality management system. Responsibilities include creating and optimizing SQL queries against databases to improve system performance, developing professional laboratory reports using SAP Crystal Reports, and providing first-level diagnostics for LIMS-related incidents. The position also involves coordinating with IT teams, supporting audits and inspections, owning standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering LIMS training programs. The role supports M42’s integrated health solutions platform leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), genomics, predictive analytics, and environmental intelligence to provide precise, preventive, and predictive care while reinforcing environmental stewardship and public health initiatives.
