Job description
AWS runs cloud data centres that support enterprise, government and start-up customers in more than 190 countries, and keeping that infrastructure low cost is a large part of the finance team's job. This Senior Finance Analyst position sits in Data Centre Finance for EMEA, hired through Data Services Saudi Arabia Limited, and partners with regional AWS management across operations, business development and engineering. Weekly and monthly reporting of financial and operating metrics sets the regular rhythm. Around that, you manage the financial planning process, building models and forecasts that drive budgeting and business decisions. Month-end close is part of the cycle, along with ad hoc analysis whenever leadership needs an answer. Controls and systems compliance also needs watching, and as AWS expands into new regions there is room to design new processes and automate old ones. Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A, financial modelling and P&L analysis is expected. Advanced SQL for data mining and business intelligence, and an MBA or CPA, will strengthen your application. Amazon generally expects employees to work from the office five days a week.
