Job description
Street lighting, ITS, MCC, and telecom installation and relocation works across Abu Dhabi's infrastructure projects fall under this Electrical and Telecom Inspector's oversight. You conduct site inspections to verify electrical and telecommunications works meet contract specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Related electrical and MEP interfaces get inspected alongside the core scope, keeping the full installation picture in view. Compliance verification runs through approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs, with only approved materials permitted into the works. Daily diaries, photo records, inspection files, and reports get maintained continuously, and Inspection Requests get tracked with non-conformances and corrective actions documented as they arise. Coordination extends across contractors, other discipline inspectors, and survey and testing teams to support inspections and progress verification. Conflicts and issues get flagged early, with practical solutions recommended and progress reported to the ARE or RE. As-built records and installed quantity checks for payment or change work fall within scope as needed. Authority and utility coordination experience adds real value here, particularly around close-out documentation and O&M handover.
