Job description
Qiddiya, one of Saudi Arabiaās flagship Vision 2030 giga-projects, is seeking a Director Assurance and Audit ā Material to lead and execute quality assurance and audit programs across development business units and asset delivery teams. This role focuses on materials assurance and compliance, ensuring the effective implementation of QMS, stage gate reviews, and quality risk mitigation strategies. The Director will act as a subject matter expert in construction materials, testing, and specifications, while fostering cross-functional collaboration and aligning with best practices. This senior leadership position requires oversight of contractor compliance, procurement quality, and audit readiness, as well as reporting performance insights to executive leadership.

Key responsibilities
- Translate strategic quality goals into operational assurance and audit plans across business units.
- Oversee execution of assurance and audit strategy within assigned domains.
- Act as subject matter expert for construction materials, providing technical guidance on specifications, testing, and compliance.
- Lead cross-functional coordination to integrate quality into development and delivery processes.
- Supervise audit planning, execution, and follow-up activities.
- Ensure stage gate reviews are conducted with full compliance and documentation.
- Validate procurement quality requirements and enforce consistent application across projects.
- Monitor contractor and consultant adherence to design quality assurance processes.
- Ensure QMS implementation across development teams and business units.
- Support readiness for internal and external audits and coordinate responses.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement across teams.
- Represent Assurance and Audit in operational leadership forums.
- Ensure effective allocation of quality resources and consultants to projects.
- Track and report quality KPIs and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Drive adoption of quality best practices across teams and projects.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Engage with external stakeholders to align quality expectations and deliverables.
- Provide performance insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Experience & skills
- BSc in Engineering, Quality Management, or similar (UK Level 6 equivalent).
- Chartered Quality Professional CQP MCQI or equivalent certification.
- Certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System Lead Auditor.
- 12+ years of leadership experience in the construction industry, specifically on mega or giga projects.
- Strong expertise in construction materials and testing standards (ASTM, BS, ACI).
- Proven track record of implementing QMS in complex projects.
- Experience leading assurance, audit, and compliance teams in large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement quality validation and design assurance processes.
- Ability to track KPIs, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
