Job description
The Joint Movement Contract Specialist at Serco is responsible for administering and coordinating accommodation and travel for Australian Defence Force personnel at Al Minhad Airbase, including in-country relocations and scheduled leave. The role involves supporting a Base Pass operation by managing identification card applications, replacements, report generation, and related administrative duties. The specialist ensures compliance with ADF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for personnel and cargo movements. The role requires coordination with Sercoās Accommodation team, execution of escort duties for non-cleared personnel, and participation in movement tasks supporting minor operations in the Middle East. This full-time position demands a strong organizational and time management skillset, sound computer literacy, and the ability to analyze data and produce reports. Candidates must hold a current Australian Federal Security Clearance (NV1 minimum) and a valid Australian driverās license. The role is embedded in Sercoās MELABS team in Dubai, UAE, supporting defence logistics and operations within a structured, secure environment, aligned with Australian government defence logistics frameworks.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate movement tasks supporting minor Middle East operations
- Liaise with ADF units and coalition forces on movement requirements
- Coordinate transportation and cargo movement for ADF flights
- Administer identification card applications and replacements
- Generate reports and maintain email and appointment correspondence
- Coordinate accommodation logistics for incoming and departing personnel
- Escort non-cleared personnel for asset protection as required
- Support the Fire & Security Manager and Contract Specialist Lead with additional duties
Experience & skills
- Hold a current Australian Federal Security Clearance (minimum NV1)
- Possess a valid Australian driver's license (to obtain UAE license)
- Minimum 3 years administrative experience in operations environment
- Preferred experience in base operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Ability to analyze data and issue reports
