Job description
The Senior Finance Manager β PA Business (META) is responsible for comprehensive financial leadership and oversight for the PA business across the META region, managing an approximately $800M P&L. The role requires acting as a strategic finance partner to senior business leadership, including the META CFO, PA leadership, and regional general managers, providing actionable insights to drive profitable growth and strategic decision-making. The incumbent ensures disciplined execution of business plans, strong cash performance, and robust financial governance across multiple geographies. Responsibilities include ownership of revenue, gross margin, orders, and working capital, leading forecasting and annual operating plan cycles, performing detailed variance analyses, and supporting business reviews with data-driven recommendations. This role requires close collaboration with global finance teams to align with corporate objectives, policies, and reporting standards, as well as contributing to regionalization initiatives and finance transformation programs. The position also includes mentoring and developing finance talent, ensuring adherence to Honeywell financial policies, and driving cash improvement initiatives. Expertise in P&L management, commercial finance, industrial automation, and advanced financial systems such as Honeywell Forge is critical to success in this role.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the financial performance of the PA business across META, ensuring delivery of Orders, Revenue, Gross Margin, and Working Capital objectives while providing strategic insights to drive profitability and sustainable growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to META business leadership, including the META CFO, PA leadership, and regional general managers, translating complex financial information into clear recommendations that inform both operational and commercial decisions.
- Manage the forecasting rhythm across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring accuracy, transparency, identification of risks and opportunities, and development of executable mitigation strategies to maintain financial discipline.
- Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Planning cycles for the PA META business, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and operational priorities, while balancing regional business needs.
- Perform detailed variance analyses comparing actual performance against forecasts and plans, identifying business drivers, and delivering actionable insights to improve decision-making, cost efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Support comprehensive business reviews with narrative-driven presentations and data-backed recommendations, providing senior leadership with the information needed to make informed strategic, commercial, and operational decisions.
- Co-own cash performance initiatives including collections, billings, past-due recovery, and customer payment structures, while leading continuous improvement programs across businesses and sub-regions to enhance liquidity and optimize working capital.
- Ensure strong financial governance and compliance with Honeywell policies, embedding disciplined financial controls across the business without compromising agility, while contributing to global finance alignment and transformation initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, with preference given to candidates holding an MBA or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA, demonstrating advanced financial and analytical knowledge.
- 10β15+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to business or commercial finance within large, complex, matrixed organizations operating across multiple geographies and business units.
- Proven experience managing large-scale businesses with revenues exceeding $500M, demonstrating capability in overseeing complex P&L structures, driving strategic business decisions, and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong technical expertise in P&L management, deal finance, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow optimization, variance analysis, and working capital management, ensuring financial stability and performance improvement across diverse business operations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, communicate complex financial information effectively, and operate seamlessly in a global matrix organization, aligning local business objectives with regional and corporate strategies.
- Experience within META and exposure to industrial automation, aerospace technologies, or related technical domains is highly advantageous, providing context for financial decisions and strategic business planning.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, data-driven decision-making skills, and familiarity with financial systems such as Honeywell Forge are required to support robust reporting, performance management, and business intelligence.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop finance talent, fostering a high-performance culture, while driving process improvements, enhancing financial governance, and supporting strategic transformation initiatives across the regional finance organization.
