Job description
The Manager - Adventure Operations role operates within the Sports and Entertainment division, supporting adventure operations across The Red Sea and Amaala destinations. The role works closely with senior adventure management to oversee adventure assets and expand a diverse inland adventure and action sports program for visiting guests. Responsibilities include supporting the operational rollout of adventure programs, delivering training across the business, and collaborating with key stakeholders to align operations with local communities and business partners. The role leads teams of guides, instructors, and junior instructors, ensuring exceptional guest experiences aligned with the Red Sea service style. It is responsible for maintaining venue, equipment, and asset safety, cleanliness, and readiness, enforcing venue-specific SOPs, and contributing to SOP development and continuous evaluation. The role applies and enforces international adventure rules and regulations, liaising with local and global sports bodies as required. The position also supports reporting, MIS preparation, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and alignment with international best practices, while actively promoting adventure activities across the wider project, including activities outside direct operational responsibility such as diving.

- Contribute to the development and growth of unique inland adventure and action sports offerings across The Red Sea and Amaala destinations
- Support training, operational delivery, and execution of inland adventure and action sports activities
- Oversee compliance of guides, staff, and activities with venue-specific SOPs and support SOP development and continuous evaluation
- Lead, manage, mentor, and support guides, instructors, and junior instructors to deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with the Red Sea service style
- Ensure all inland adventure venues, equipment, and assets are properly maintained, safe, clean, and operational at all times
- Promote and advocate for all adventure activities across the wider project, including activities outside direct responsibility such as diving
- Participate in regular operational reviews with senior adventure management and provide updates on operational performance
- Apply and enforce international adventure rules and regulations and liaise with local and global sports bodies where required
- Adhere to functional policies, processes, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure operational consistency and control
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely operational reports and MIS statements in line with corporate and functional requirements
- Implement safety, quality, and environmental policies to ensure staff well-being, regulatory compliance, service quality, and sustainable operations
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities focused on process optimization, cost efficiency, productivity, and alignment with international best practices
Experience & skills
- Hold a valid Wilderness First Aid Certification or equivalent from an internationally recognized provider, including CPR and hypothermia and hyperthermia management, with at least six months validity upon joining
- Demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience in the tourism industry, with experience in Saudi Arabia preferred
- Demonstrate proven experience delivering adventure sports activities within luxury hospitality or resort environments
- Apply leadership experience managing multi-cultural teams in collaborative operational settings
- Demonstrate strong risk awareness and ability to proactively identify and address operational hazards
- Demonstrate mentoring and coaching capability to support professional and personal development of team members
- Apply innovation in the design and delivery of new adventure projects
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel or resort operations and business planning principles
- Demonstrate cultural awareness, adaptability, strong teamwork, supervisory capability, and results-driven growth management
- Demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English, with Arabic or additional languages considered an advantage
