Job description
The Senior Product Manager Oncology is accountable for the achievement of the portfolioâs business results in the Gulf region by developing and implementing the portfolio strategy. Working closely with EMEA and Emerging Markets Commercial Leads, the Senior Product Manager ensures optimal alignment between EMEA and Gulf therapeutic area strategies. The role focuses on achieving business metrics like market share and patient share, leading successful brand launches, developing customer-centric value propositions, analyzing market data, and maintaining cross-functional collaborations. The Senior Product Manager is expected to devote around 40% of their time to field work and engage extensively with internal teams such as Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Track developments in healthcare, competitors, 3rd party data, trends including social listening.
- Understand the importance of customer empathy using informal and formal sources.
- Describe and leverage customer journeys, stakeholder mapping, and business relevance.
- Analyze data from macro/regulatory/cultural/medical/technological trends.
- Develop value propositions providing competitive advantage through customer experience insights.
- Support the team by validating and assessing the commercial impact of value propositions.
- Understand cost-effectiveness and develop arguments to support Janssen value propositions.
- Draft brand benefits and positioning, influencing marketing strategies and plans.
- Conduct scenario analysis to interpret key data and develop future actions.
- Support portfolio management through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist the cross-functional team in launch planning to bring product launches to life.
- Network internally to understand best practices and lessons learned.
- Participate in building business cases and sourcing required inputs.
- Use brand equity tracking tools to analyze and shape marketing priorities.
- Identify and socialize KPIs to measure the success of initiatives.
- Develop, execute, and evaluate marketing plans while leading specific initiatives.
- Develop relevant and engaging messaging for internal and external presentations.
- Participate in agency briefings and feedback sessions.
- Build collaborative external partnerships to drive brand strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create a shared vision of success.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Life Sciences or Business-related field (MBA desirable).
- Minimum 3 years industry/business experience within sales, marketing, medical and/or market access functions.
- Experience in Oncology is an advantage.
- Proven cross-functional leadership without authority.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
- Strong ability to build alliances across functional and regional boundaries.
- Skills in storytelling, customer exploration, data distillation, value creation, prediction, disruption, orchestration, and collaboration.
- Proven people leadership skills in development, inclusion, and coaching.
