Job description
The Insurance Advisor role within the Injaz - DBC - Life Insurance Sales team of the Retail Banking Group is focused on managing multiple insurance products, driving business closures, and enhancing the customer experience. This UAE-based position requires a strong sales-oriented mindset with a service-driven approach, ideally backed by postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA. The role involves meeting customers, managing attrition, retaining clients, and ensuring high service standards. You will be expected to meet monthly FER targets, develop personal banking relationships, and coach direct sales staff in promoting life insurance offerings.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly Insurance FER (personal banking) & individual target in the financial year.
- Acquire, develop and strengthen Insurance acquisition through effective relationship management in accordance with business goals.
- Coach direct sales staff to pitch OTC products and accompany them on joint calls to upsell life products.
- Manage and develop relationships with new and existing Personal Banking customers through professional consultative financial analysis.
- Ensure superior customer service thereby contributing to the overall customer experience of Mashreq.
- Ensure Customer retention through active customer engagement to avoid claw backs.
- Take ownership of customer complaint on Insurance. Co-ordinate with respective teams and Insurance providers for appropriate resolution.
- Provide constructive and constant feedback on improvement of: Insurance products, services, processes which may either reduce cycle time or costs or enhance customer satisfaction.
- Consistently increase the penetration in the assigned target companies by meeting KPA standards.
- Acting as an external personal contact between the bank and its existing and potential markets.
- Handling objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with correct quotations/charges.
- Record all sales activities in Daily Sales Reports and update CRM for leads and contacts.
- Participate in all Team Activities like morning huddles, training and coaching, complete mandatory compliance and fraud trainings, Lean & rewards celebrations.
Experience & skills
- Thorough knowledge of products, services, policies, and processes of retail banking in Mashreq Bank.
- Postgraduate preferably an MBA degree with strong numeric skills.
- 1ā2 years of insurance sales experience.
- Understanding of customer financials.
- Sales profile that requires strong relationship and service mindset.
- Strong personality and communication skills.
