Job description
The British International School Riyadh has served the expatriate community since 1979, and its Al Hamra Campus is where this Art Teacher role sits, working with students aged 11 to 18 under the English National Curriculum. You'll bring outstanding classroom practice and pastoral care together, since BISR expects both from every teacher it hires. Teaching English alongside Art would be particularly welcomed here, for candidates able to cover both subjects. High-quality assessment and feedback strategies matter throughout, helping students make good progress in their learning. A positive climate for learning gets built and maintained, with well-being given real weight in an intercultural context. Form Tutor duties come with the role too, making you the first point of contact for a group of students' social, emotional and academic well-being. Co-curricular life runs wide at BISR, from extra-curricular activities and student leadership opportunities to service learning and residential trips. Collaboration across teams is expected, backed by strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour. The school holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools and status as a British School Overseas, and this role is expected to reflect those standards in daily practice.
