Job description
Complex railway programs across multiple markets need strategic and technical leadership that can hold the whole system together, and that is what this Lead Engineer, System Integration role provides. You will act as a trusted technical authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing strategic guidance to clients and internal teams across communications systems, control systems, signalling, systems integration, and operational control. Rail control system solutions get developed under your leadership, defining system architecture, integration strategies, and operational concepts along the way. Contracting and technical deployment strategies, constructability, and testing and commissioning all draw on your experience and insight when questions come up. Technical challenges and constraints get identified and resolved proactively, rather than left to surface later in delivery. Major and multidisciplinary rail projects need overseeing from a system integration perspective, managing critical interfaces across signalling, telecoms, and infrastructure. Interface control documents (ICDs) and integration plans get developed under your oversight, and integration workshops, testing, and commissioning activities get coordinated and led. Compliance with assurance, approvals, and certification requirements runs through every stage of delivery. Operations and asset management assignments also fall under this role's leadership, alongside experience delivering projects across the Middle East and other international markets.
