Job description
The Procurement Officer at DP World is responsible for executing procurement activities related to assigned vessels and divisions. The role involves managing requisitions, RFQs, processing purchase orders, coordinating delivery logistics, and updating stakeholders. The officer evaluates and approves suppliers, monitors their performance for quality and cost-effectiveness, and supports the implementation of frame agreements for regularly procured goods and services. The role also entails conducting overseas purchasing, handling logistics including customs clearance, developing new suppliers to optimize cost and quality, and maintaining prequalification lists. Regular vendor performance analysis and KPI compliance are key to maintaining sourcing strategies. The Procurement Officer also assists finance in resolving invoice discrepancies and supports the line manager in other procurement tasks as required. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and familiarity with procurement operations in a maritime context.

Key responsibilities
- Handle procurement activities for assigned vessels and division within the group
- Manage fleet requisitions, RFQs, process purchase orders, and coordinate deliveries
- Update relevant stakeholders on procurement and logistics progress
- Identify, evaluate, and approve suppliers; monitor supplier performance
- Ensure timely processing and control of requisitions from supervisors and managers
- Analyze quotations to ensure compliance and prepare comparison reports with recommendations
- Conduct overseas purchasing including logistics coordination and customs clearance
- Support implementation of frame agreements and develop new suppliers
- Maintain and update supplier prequalification lists and accounts
- Analyze vendor performance data and provide strategic sourcing recommendations
- Assist line manager with procurement-related tasks and KPI compliance
- Resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with finance
- Review and act on open requisition and PO reports
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree
- Experience in procurement operations, preferably within maritime or shipping industries
- Knowledge of supplier evaluation and performance monitoring
- Ability to handle international purchasing and logistics
- Skills in analyzing quotations and preparing comparison reports
- Experience in implementing frame agreements and developing supplier bases
- Familiarity with customs clearance and delivery processes
- Ability to coordinate with finance and resolve invoicing issues
