Banks, insurers and wealth and asset managers across the region turn to EY-Parthenon's Valuation, Modelling and Economics practice in Dubai when they need numbers they can stand behind for transactions, strategy and financial reporting. Pitched at Manager or Senior Manager level, this role covers work from strategic analysis through to transaction execution for Financial Services Sector clients. Engagements start with understanding the key business drivers, shaping the approach with the client and agreeing how value will be measured. Typical questions include strategic expansion, operating model redefinition, feasibility, market valuation and capital or portfolio optimisation. Deliverables take the form of Excel data books, written reports and presentations, which you plan, prepare and review before discussing them with the client. Spotting opportunities to bring in other EY services is part of the job too. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and 7 to 12 years of business valuation experience, with strong financial modelling built from scratch and a solid grasp of financial institutions' balance sheets and IFRS on fair value, business combinations and impairment. Big 4 valuation experience, progress towards the CFA and business development skills are a plus.
