Job description
The Voice AI Engineer at Lucidya will design, build, and deploy intelligent Voice Agents for enterprise Customer Experience. The role involves end-to-end development from concept to production, fine-tuning speech models for multiple dialects, and integrating AI agents into Lucidya's AI Agent platform. This is a high-impact role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to deliver scalable, reliable, and business-focused Voice AI solutions across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time Voice Agents using ASR, TTS, and LLM-based reasoning
- Build multi-turn, stateful voice conversations with barge-in, retries, tool-use, and fallback mechanisms
- Evaluate and select Voice Agent providers based on reliability and stress testing
- Fine-tune and adapt STT, TTS, and LLMs for various dialects
- Deploy AI models into production environments ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate business problems into AI solutions
- Analyze call logs and transcripts to improve Voice Agent performance
- Contribute to the development of Lucidya's AI Agent platform by embedding Voice capabilities
- Document models, algorithms, workflows, and technical decisions for stakeholders
- Ensure AI solutions comply with ethical standards, data privacy, and legal regulations
- Stay up to date with the latest AI research, tools, and best practices and apply them effectively
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying Voice Agents with measurable business impact
- Strong programming skills in Python (Java is a plus)
- Experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering
- Hands-on experience with voice systems (ASR, TTS, conversational IVR)
- Familiarity with speech concepts such as WER, phonemes, prosody, endpointing, and barge-in
- Experience deploying AI models into production environments
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong problem-solving skills and systems thinking
- Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning in AI technologies
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to work in cross-functional product teams
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Nice to have: Experience with NLP, enterprise AI deployments, MLOps, multilingual/Arabic datasets, and SaaS platforms
