Job description
Schedule slippage and cost overruns are what this Riyadh director is there to prevent, overseeing delivery from the PMO level on a major mixed-use infrastructure programme where KBR provides PMO services and governance. Reporting to the Programme Director, you work within a matrix organisation alongside the commercial, planning and risk departments. Before contract award, the focus falls on commercial strategy and stage gate validation, and after award it moves to earned progress against baseline schedules, cost reports and milestone forecasts. PMCs follow standard reporting formats for quality, commercial, planning and safety that you help develop and govern. Annual programme-wide budgets and monthly cashflow reports prepared by PMCs pass through you for validation. Value engineering proposals, scope growth risks, stakeholder engagement plans and the Approvals Register also sit within your oversight. Towards completion, taking-over certificates, defects, operational readiness, asset transfer and the defects liability period need coordinating between PMCs and the Client, along with close-out reports and knowledge transfer. At least 15 years managing major civil, infrastructure and development programmes is required, including 3 years as a Project or Construction Director. A Bachelor of Science degree in construction management, engineering or architecture and PMI-PMP, Professional Engineer or ICE membership, or equivalent, complete the profile.
