Job description
The Senior Specialist - Group Communications at Al Ghurair in Dubai is a key strategic and operational role responsible for safeguarding and elevating the company's reputation across all business units. The role oversees governance, quality control, and consistent brand application while being hands-on in producing high-quality internal and external content. The incumbent develops and executes communication strategies, manages campaigns, crafts compelling narratives, enhances digital presence, and ensures alignment with Al Ghurair’s overall objectives. This position requires strong critical thinking, attention to detail, project management expertise, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messaging.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy aligned with Al Ghurair's business objectives
- Contribute to and manage communication campaigns throughout the year, including internal events, townhalls, awareness campaigns, and launch of initiatives
- Develop and deliver toolkits, templates, and guidance to empower business units in executing communications initiatives
- Partner with Heads of Departments to craft narratives that highlight Al Ghurair’s reach, expertise, and legacy
- Support and manage campaigns across all business units to foster 'One Al Ghurair' identity and organizational cohesion
- Create and deliver high-impact internal and external communications such as announcements, newsletters, critical messages, and reports
- Develop, schedule, and manage content for social media channels ensuring consistent messaging and timely engagement
- Draft key storylines, narratives, and talking points aligned with strategic objectives
- Serve as primary planner and reviewer for communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, brand alignment, and adherence to corporate tone
- Maintain and enforce quality standards across all written, visual, and digital materials
- Approve content developed by agencies, business units, or internal teams prior to publication or distribution
- Ensure compliance with regulations, cultural sensitivities, and internal policies across all communications
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or brand management within a large, diversified organization
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders
- Proven experience managing quality control and approvals for corporate content
- Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Content creation and storytelling capabilities to engage diverse audiences
- Project management experience or training is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
