Job description
The Senior External Communications Specialist – Honeywell Aerospace in Dubai, UAE, is responsible for shaping the organization’s external visibility and brand perception across the MENA region. Reporting to the Senior Director of External Communications, this hybrid role focuses on executing region-specific communication strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and building strong relationships with media, customers, and stakeholders. The specialist drives positive media coverage, develops and implements external communication plans, ensures alignment with global brand strategies, and leverages digital communication platforms relevant to the region. The role requires deep expertise in media relations, crisis communication, stakeholder engagement, and integrated communications to enhance Honeywell Aerospace's reputation in the aviation and automation sectors.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement external communication strategies tailored to the MENA region.
- Work directly with regional media to secure positive coverage for Honeywell Aerospace.
- Create and manage communication plans to reach target audiences including media, customers, and stakeholders.
- Craft compelling messages and stories that enhance brand perception and reputation.
- Ensure all messaging aligns with global brand strategies and organizational objectives.
- Leverage digital communication tools and platforms to engage audiences effectively.
- Support crisis communication management as needed.
- Monitor media coverage and provide reporting on communication impact and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate communication initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with media, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of experience in external communications or media relations.
- Strong knowledge of media relations and crisis communication.
- Proficiency in developing and executing communication strategies for the MENA region.
- Experience with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Relations, or related field.
- Master's degree in Communications or Business Administration is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
