Job description
Subsea7 is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to provide accurate, timely, and value-added analysis and reporting for offshore energy projects. The role ensures the effective management of project budgets, cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting. The Senior Cost Controller interfaces with project teams, clients, and auditors to support project financial health and compliance.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee review and analysis of project budgets and cash plans.
- Establish project cost structures, coding, and maintain WBS alignment with project planning.
- Monitor and report project expenditure, variances, and financial performance.
- Prepare and compile cost and financial input to Project Monthly Status Reports (PMSR).
- Perform monthly closing adjustments, including cost accruals, unbilled revenue, and revenue adjustments.
- Provide long-term project cash flow forecasts and monitor financial obligations.
- Interface with budget owners, project teams, clients, and auditors regarding financial status and forecasts.
- Participate in estimating Variation Orders and evaluate economic impacts of scope changes.
- Prepare and review internal and external close-out documentation.
Experience & skills
- Business Degree in Cost Management, Project Management, Finance, or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project cost control for diverse projects.
- Technical knowledge and application of cost control systems and processes.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP/Ecosys knowledge is useful.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing, monitoring, and reporting project budgets and forecasts.
