Job description
Apple Pay is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of Apple Pay across e-commerce platforms in the Middle East. The role focuses on building strategic alliances with online merchants, PSPs, processors, and enablers to enable in-app Apple Pay acceptance. The candidate will work cross-functionally with global teams to influence product roadmaps, facilitate technical enablement of payment features, and ensure seamless integrations. This position demands a strong understanding of online payments, mobile commerce, and the ability to navigate complex ecosystems while negotiating impactful deals. The successful candidate will combine deep technical fluency with strategic relationship-building skills to grow Apple Pay adoption across the region.

Key responsibilities
- Identify and build strategic pipelines of prospective partners in Middle Eastern markets with scalable approach to increase merchant adoption of Apple Pay
- Successfully navigate partner landscape to identify key decision makers and negotiate deal terms
- Participate internally on cross-functional teams to define partners, product requirements, negotiation strategies, integration and testing plans and go-to-market launch programs
- Continually manage partnerships delivering new feature improvements and ongoing support to drive customer trial and usage
- Provide regular communications to internal teams regarding partnership strategy and results
Experience & skills
- Experience working in a business development or partnerships capacity in the Middle East region
- Extensive business development experience in high growth consumer internet/technology companies
- Ability to promote new payment products and technologies and speak fluidly to positively influence highly technical and non-technical decision makers
- Skilled at helping partners identify, navigate and overcome technical or detailed complexities to drive adoption of new technology
- Experience in structuring business and technical terms with strategic partners
- Direct experience working with various online merchant segments, PSPs, payment schemes, and processors
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a bonus
