Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking is responsible for acquiring, managing, and developing corporate and commercial relationships in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. The role involves assessing credit proposals, conducting due diligence, managing funded and non-funded relationships, and ensuring that all credit risk and operational processes comply with the bank's standards and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will focus on portfolio profitability, diversification, and compliance with Sharia and consumer protection regulations while identifying cross-selling opportunities and maintaining strong ethical standards. The role requires active client engagement, including regular visits, and close monitoring of account performance to mitigate delinquency risk.

Key responsibilities
- Acquire and manage commercial and corporate relationships, ensuring funded and non-funded accounts meet profitability and risk targets
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessment and due diligence on new and existing clients in line with bank standards
- Prepare, evaluate, and monitor credit proposals ensuring compliance with internal policies, Sharia requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Develop and maintain an annual target list in consultation with the Head of Department and achieve assigned asset and liability targets
- Regularly visit client premises at least quarterly to maintain relationship quality and gather intelligence on market developments
- Monitor account performance to avoid portfolio concentration, delinquency, or downgrade of credit quality
- Identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities to enhance fee income, ancillary business, and overall portfolio profitability
- Collect and maintain all security documents, ensuring compliance with the bank's governance and consumer protection standards
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of client interactions, portfolio performance, and risk exposure to management
- Continuously update knowledge of Consumer Protection Regulations and advise on ethical and compliant practices across portfolio management
Experience & skills
- 6-7 years of experience in corporate banking relationship management
- Bachelor's degree in Financial & Banking Science or Financial Management
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in credit and risk management
- Knowledge of banking theory, Central Bank regulations, and trade finance processes
- Competency in market survey analysis and credit proposal appraisal/assessment
- Proficiency in T24 banking software and MS Office applications
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and oral
- Ability to maintain high ethical standards and compliance with Sharia and consumer protection requirements
- Strong client engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage portfolio profitability, monitor limits utilization, and identify cross-selling opportunities
