Job description
The Brand Designer role at Fuse is a foundational design position responsible for shaping the end-to-end visual and brand experience of a vertically integrated renewable energy company operating across energy generation, real-time power trading, and consumer-facing energy products. As the first Brand Designer, the role owns the creation, evolution, and execution of Fuse’s brand system, including typography, color, iconography, illustration, motion, and scalable visual patterns. The position defines the visual language across web and mobile platforms, shaping UI components, interaction states, and modular design systems, while extending the brand consistently across digital products, motion assets, hardware interfaces, packaging, and print. The role also establishes voice and tone frameworks, messaging principles, content patterns, and microcopy standards to ensure consistent communication. The Brand Designer works closely with a senior design team spanning visual, motion, 3D, product, and web design, collaborates directly with the CEO, and partners across engineering, trading, and operations in an environment where design leads product direction.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver best-in-class visual and brand experiences that communicate Fuse’s vision of energy abundance
- Build, evolve, and maintain Fuse’s brand system including typography, color palettes, iconography, illustration, and motion assets
- Define and scale the visual language for web and mobile products including UI components, interaction states, and reusable design patterns
- Extend and adapt the brand across digital platforms, motion assets, hardware interfaces, packaging, and print materials
- Establish voice and tone guidelines, messaging principles, content patterns, and microcopy standards for consistent brand communication
- Own brand design projects end-to-end from conceptual exploration and art direction through to final execution
- Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and operational teams to integrate brand systems into product and platform experiences
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate extensive experience designing visual and brand systems for consumer-facing digital products
- Exhibit strong technical craft across typography, color, composition, motion, and visual storytelling
- Demonstrate a track record of delivering brand work end-to-end from concept development to execution
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Figma
- Demonstrate ability to translate abstract concepts into scalable, modular, and cohesive visual systems
- Exhibit experience or advanced knowledge in 3D design tools such as C4D and Houdini, compositing, illustration, copywriting, or photography where applicable
