Job description
Shell is seeking a TM / Distributor Excellence Manager to lead its Route to Market and Indirect Channel Excellence strategy across 18 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia States (MECAS). In this senior regional role, you will shape distributor performance, drive operational and commercial excellence, and support Shellâs transition and growth ambitions. You will work closely with internal leaders and external partners to strengthen the macro-distributor network, lead transformation efforts, assess network sustainability, and implement best-in-class RTM frameworks. This position is part of the MECAS Leadership Team and will play a key role in realizing long-term value growth in a dynamic market.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Own the Indirect Channel Strategy and RTM Roadmap across MECAS for B2B and B2C segments
- Drive commercial excellence initiatives and operational standards across all distributor markets
- Lead turnaround projects for underperforming distributors by identifying gaps and executing performance improvement plans
- Develop sustainability strategies for distributor networks and assess market risks
- Collaborate with the DVP Specialist to enhance partner value propositions
- Facilitate and coach sales teams on strategic focus areas, KPIs, dashboards, and execution plans
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Shellâs business principles and HSSE standards
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement and refine RTM strategies
- Work with Cluster Managers and Marketing teams on network coverage, market penetration, and strategic planning
- Mentor and guide distributor sales teams for capability building and performance alignment
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of experience in commercial roles within sales, marketing, distributor management, or channel development
- Proven track record in working with distributors or third-party sales channels
- Strong understanding of RTM frameworks, GTM strategies, and indirect channel models
- Experience in the lubricants or FMCG industry is preferred
- Strategic mindset with hands-on project execution capability
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in leading transformation and performance improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage across diverse geographies and multicultural environments
- Strong analytical and planning skills with business risk acumen
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
