Job description

The Principal Engineer Sealine will be based at the Abu Dhabi hub in the United Arab Emirates and is responsible for performing and/or supervising the execution of sealine design and installation analysis, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. The mandate covers all discipline analyses, technical report writing, preparation of specifications and drawings for the pipeline system and its relevant components, as well as assisting with laying spread and installation method selection, performing installation design analysis, and defining operational installation limits. The role requires verifying subcontracted engineering, preparing technical specifications and requisitions for materials and services purchasing, and overseeing bid evaluation and procurement phases. The engineer must ensure that technical documentation meets high standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of company standards. They will review client technical documentation, prepare technical qualifications, and support the preparation of technical proposals during bidding for EPCI and Transport and Installation (T and I) contracts. Additional duties include contributing to the updating and enhancement of department tools for Sealine Engineering, maintaining excellence in sealine engineering, implementing and improving quality systems, and defining and standardizing departmental procedures. This position demands advanced knowledge of sealine engineering practices, pipeline system design, installation analysis software, procurement processes, and technical compliance frameworks such as QA/QC and HSE requirements.
