Job description
Internal audit at e& covers a growing Fintech business, and this Dubai director owns the strategy for independent assurance over it. Each year starts with a risk-based annual plan aligned with business strategies, targeting Fintech top risks and major business initiatives. Financial, operational, IT and compliance risks all fall within view, and emerging risks are assessed independently before being consolidated and prioritised with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Engagements range widely, from risk-based Internal Audits and continuous assurance initiatives to regulatory compliance audits, due diligence reviews and investigations. Your direction runs through each assignment, covering planning, risk assessments, SME input, site visits, quality review and the final audit report. Fraud is part of the remit too, with support to Special Audit on red flags, control effectiveness and preventive audit initiatives. Senior leadership, the Audit Committee, the Board and regulators will all rely on your reporting and relationship management. At least 10 years of audit experience with a large company or reputable audit firm is required, with at least 6 of them in a managerial capacity. A CA, CPA, ACCA or CIA qualification is expected, and CISA or a Master's in a related discipline would add weight.
