Job description
Turner & Townsend is hiring a Delay Analyst in Riyadh to work on high-profile construction and infrastructure projects across the GCC. This role is critical in supporting the preparation and defense of time-related claims through expert delay analysis and forensic planning. You will contribute to prestigious projects and play a key role in contract dispute resolution, report writing, and critical path delay assessments. Reporting to the Director of Contract Services, you will provide advisory and analytical services using industry-standard delay methodologies in line with FIDIC and similar contractual frameworks.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and defend Extension of Time (EoT) claims by applying forensic delay analysis techniques
- Conduct critical path analysis to assess and establish delay causation
- Collaborate with project teams to identify, document, and assess delay events
- Utilize prospective and retrospective delay analysis methodologies appropriate to each project
- Produce high-quality reports articulating cause-effect relationships between delay events and project impact
- Critique contractor schedules and delay submissions
- Support expert witnesses in the development of dispute reports and testimony for arbitration or litigation
- Ensure reports are supported with factual evidence and aligned with contract terms
- Use Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject to manipulate and analyze schedules
- Review and interpret contractual documents, with emphasis on FIDIC terms and conditions
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in forensic delay analysis or claims consultancy
- Proficiency in scheduling software including Primavera P6, MS Project, and Asta PowerProject
- Hands-on experience with multiple delay analysis methodologies and their appropriate applications
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent construction contracts
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills
- Experience in preparing detailed claims submissions and expert support documentation
- Familiarity with contractor schedule due diligence and schedule risk assessments
