Job description

The Sr. Specialist Operations role is responsible for managing and improving the company's daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving operational excellence to support business growth. The role focuses on overseeing the performance of assigned verticals, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, and taking necessary actions to resolve operational issues. The position involves monitoring performance and collaborating with relevant teams such as business development and fleet management to implement effective solutions and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring the operations team, developing and implementing strategies to streamline operations, improving efficiency, aligning with company objectives, monitoring and analyzing KPIs including order fulfillment, delivery times, cancellations, and user ratings, ensuring compliance by establishing and maintaining operational parameters, identifying inefficiencies, leading continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain, collaborating across departments to enhance shop performance, and using data-driven insights to evaluate cost and profitability and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, along with expertise in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and process optimization within e-commerce or retail operational environments.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the operations team by overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring performance targets are met, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment, and supporting team members in achieving operational excellence across assigned verticals
- Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, align operational processes with business objectives, and support company growth initiatives across e-commerce and retail operations
- Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including order fulfillment rates, delivery times, cancellations, and user ratings while identifying performance gaps and implementing corrective actions to maintain operational standards
- Ensure compliance with operational requirements by establishing and maintaining necessary operational parameters, monitoring adherence to operational standards, and enforcing performance benchmarks across operational teams
- Identify operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation within supply chain operations while implementing process optimization strategies and tracking operational improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development and fleet management to enhance shops performance, improve operational outcomes, and implement scalable operational solutions
- Use data-driven insights and analytics to evaluate cost structures, profitability, and operational performance while providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Oversee assigned vertical performance by monitoring operational data, analyzing trends, implementing strategic improvements, and ensuring continuous operational excellence
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with strong foundation in operations management principles
- Demonstrate minimum 5+ years of experience in operational roles preferably within e-commerce or retail industry environments with exposure to large-scale operations
- Possess proven experience in operations management including performance monitoring, KPI tracking, and operational process improvement
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze operational data and support decision-making
- Demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and process optimization within fast-paced operational environments
- Show experience working with cross-functional teams including business development and fleet management to implement operational improvements
- Apply strong analytical capabilities in evaluating cost structures, profitability, and operational performance using data-driven methodologies
- Demonstrate experience managing operational KPIs including order fulfillment, delivery times, cancellations, and user ratings
