Job description
The Digital Trading Assistant at Ounass, part of the Al Tayer Group and based in Dubai, will play a critical support role within the Commercial team, focusing on analytics, performance tracking, and strategic insights. The role assists the Digital Trading Manager in developing long-term strategies and managing day-to-day operational needs to help achieve commercial goals. Responsibilities span from report generation, performance tracking against KPIs and budgets, and coordinating weekly trade meetings to conducting competitor analysis and providing inputs for strategic initiatives. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across departments including Technology, Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing. The successful candidate will contribute to automation of reports, performance dashboards, and actionable insights to support assortment decisions, revenue generation, and continuous optimization of the user experience across digital platforms.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in creating and distributing standard and ad-hoc performance analyses to guide critical business decisions
- Track macro trends affecting business performance and apply insights to strategy
- Monitor brand performance versus budget and targets daily, weekly, and monthly
- Collaborate with Digital Trading and Merchandising teams to optimize assortment using data insights
- Help organize and run weekly trade meetings, sharing insights and planning upcoming actions
- Support the development of business cases for new initiatives with analytics and sizing inputs
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to automate reporting and develop alert systems
- Prepare and present materials on business performance and revenue opportunities
- Coordinate execution of the business plan with internal teams across Commercial, Technology, Product, Business Operations, Finance, and Marketing
- Produce, analyze, and report KPIs regularly
- Work with UX team to identify and suggest website improvements
- Conduct regular competitor analysis and communicate findings to the online team
Experience & skills
- 1ā3 years of experience in a high-volume, high-quality, fast-paced environment
- Experience in e-commerce or retail with digital focus is a plus
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentation development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Proficiency in data tools and report automation is preferred
