Job description
Earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion and critical path analysis are the tools this Specialist Planning Engineer applies on mega Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects for Worley in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with the Project Control Manager, you will handle planning, scheduling, monitoring and cost control in line with the Project Execution Plan. Integrated project schedules pull together interface milestones, feedstock, offsite and utilities need dates and activity durations from multiple contractors. Baseline schedules are monitored, with change control assessed and risk managed throughout. Contractor baselines are reviewed against Contract Schedule requirements, and special reports highlight slippage and forecasts. Progress Certification and Invoice Payment under the contract run through you, along with milestone and completion certificates. Weekly and monthly reports cover progress, actuals, forecasts and variance explanations. Project controls procedures, systems and tools also need continuous improvement. Candidates need an engineering degree or equivalent and at least 5 years in a similar role on mega projects, plus ADNOC, Offshore, PMC, FEED and EPC experience, with PMP or CCP preferred.
