Job description

Active treaties, recoverables and reinsurer relationships all run through this desk, and keeping them under control is the core of the Reinsurance Manager role in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you manage and coordinate every reinsurance activity against the organisation's reinsurance strategy, policies, business objectives and regulatory requirements. Treaty accounts, settlements, reconciliations and bordereaux get prepared and monitored closely, alongside outstanding balances and recoverables. Claims notifications, recoveries and day to day communications with reinsurers and brokers sit within your remit. Treaty records, registers, contracts and correspondence are kept accurate and current, and renewal dates, notice periods and contractual obligations are tracked without gaps. Capacity and structure get reviewed against business and portfolio needs, working closely with Finance, Claims and Underwriting. Compliance with financial reporting, solvency and regulatory requirements runs through the role from end to end. A small reinsurance team reports to you, and material issues get escalated with clear management reporting behind them.
