Job description

The LMI Riding Engineer is responsible for performing riding engineer duties to ensure continued aircraft airworthiness and operational reliability, supporting Line Maintenance operations across Abu Dhabi and international outstations as required. The role ensures full authorization coverage, strict regulatory compliance with UAE GCAA regulations, and adherence to approved aircraft maintenance documents, Etihad Technical standards, and company policies. The Engineer may be rostered to Abu Dhabi Line Maintenance or Etihad Engineering hangars to maintain authorization validity and duty hour requirements. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality line maintenance and defect rectification to ensure aircraft are safely and timely released to service, maintaining aircraft exterior and interior cabin standards aligned with Etihad Airways’ brand and customer experience expectations, and promoting the use of modern tools, digital systems, and industry best practices. The role supports continuous improvement through review of industry occurrences, innovation initiatives, and contribution to Etihad’s OGSM framework, while fostering a strong safety culture through compliance, professional conduct, and continuous learning.
