Job description
QNB is seeking a Senior Manager for Facilities Management (Qatarization), responsible for supervising and scheduling timely maintenance across all QNB premises in Qatar. The role covers air conditioning, lighting, power, water supply, drainage, lifts, and office equipment such as photocopiers and safes. The incumbent will manage budgets, monitor expenses, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, coordinate with external vendors, and oversee SLAs. The role also involves fostering continuous improvement, developing staff capabilities, ensuring data confidentiality, and maintaining QNB’s high standards of facilities operations to support efficient banking services.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare the budget requirements for the Maintenance Unit and monitor expenses within approved levels.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for Facilities Management to promote cost efficiency and productivity.
- Manage provision of maintenance services across all QNB departments.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external maintenance companies.
- Maintain SLAs with internal departments to improve turnaround time.
- Provide accurate data to auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk when required.
- Monitor budget performance and reconcile variances for effective cost control.
- Supervise routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance of all equipment and systems.
- Prepare schedules for day-to-day maintenance tasks and annual maintenance programs.
- Review and approve maintenance requests and complaints.
- Coordinate with purchasing and stores for requisition of maintenance parts and quotes.
- Verify and record maintenance costs for equipment across branches.
- Scrutinize invoices for maintenance works and forward to concerned parties.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and policies.
- Lead improvement initiatives and encourage adoption of industry best practices.
- Maintain strong knowledge of maintenance practices and plan/co-ordinate complex projects.
- Identify staff development opportunities, coach and mentor them for greater responsibilities.
- Safeguard data confidentiality and ensure information security.
- Maintain QNB’s professional standards and support market leadership position.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years maintenance experience.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and facilities systems.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination.
- Ability to manage SLAs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership and staff development capabilities.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities to manage projects at multiple locations.
