Job description
The Senior Manager – Storage Platforms Support role is responsible for supporting and managing enterprise storage platforms and systems engineering services within a large-scale banking technology environment. The role requires deep expertise in Linux operating systems including RHEL and Oracle Linux, AIX platforms, and advanced system administration and performance tuning. It encompasses in-depth management of IBM Power Systems including Power9 and Power10 architectures, virtualization using PowerVM, and administration via HMC. The role includes hands-on responsibility for enterprise storage platforms such as Dell PowerMax, NetApp, and Pure Storage, covering architecture design, provisioning, replication technologies including SRDF, and advanced troubleshooting in production environments. The position requires comprehensive SAN infrastructure expertise, including Brocade switch configuration, zoning, fabric design, firmware management, health monitoring, and multi-path SAN environments. The role supports and manages Oracle ExaData and OpenShift platforms, including enterprise integration, deployment, and lifecycle management. It also enforces system hardening and compliance with security standards such as CIS benchmarks and ISO 27001, operates within ITIL frameworks including change management and audit controls, and provides enterprise backup services using Veritas NetBackup. Automation and scripting using Bash, Python, and Ansible are integral to improving operational efficiency. The role participates in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery testing, monitoring using native tools, and supports enterprise environments with strict compliance, resilience, and availability requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Administer and support Linux environments including RHEL, Oracle Linux, and AIX with advanced system administration and performance tuning
- Manage IBM Power Systems including Power9 and Power10 platforms using PowerVM virtualization and HMC administration
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise storage arrays including Dell PowerMax, NetApp, and Pure Storage in production environments
- Design, configure, and maintain SAN infrastructure including Brocade switch zoning, fabric design, firmware management, and health monitoring
- Implement and manage storage replication technologies including SRDF and multi-path SAN configurations
- Administer Oracle ExaData and OpenShift platforms including deployment, integration, and lifecycle management
- Implement system hardening practices and ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks, ISO 27001, and enterprise security standards
- Manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions using Veritas NetBackup and integrate them with enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible to improve operational efficiency
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery testing, and ongoing operational monitoring within ITIL frameworks
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in enterprise IT infrastructure roles supporting Linux and AIX environments
- Hands-on experience administering IBM Power Systems including Power9 and Power10 with PowerVM and HMC
- Demonstrated experience managing Dell EMC PowerMax, NetApp, and Pure Storage arrays in enterprise production environments
- Experience configuring and managing Brocade SAN environments including zoning, fabric design, and multi-path setups
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ExaData and OpenShift deployments and lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of system hardening, security compliance standards including CIS and ISO 27001, and ITIL-based operational processes
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Veritas NetBackup in large-scale enterprise environments
