Group Manager - Treasury Legal role based in Dubai within a major global organisation operating across 80+ jurisdictions, focusing on complex cross-border financing and treasury legal advisory. The role acts as right-hand support to the Head of Legal and provides legal expertise on debt finance transactions including syndicated lending, acquisition finance, and negotiation of LMA (Loan Market Association) based documentation. The position requires close collaboration with senior internal stakeholders and top-tier external legal counsel to structure, negotiate, and execute high-value financing agreements across multiple jurisdictions. The role operates within a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment and involves handling sophisticated financial legal matters in an international context, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks across jurisdictions. The candidate is expected to manage legal risk, provide strategic legal advice, and support corporate financing activities while maintaining strong commercial awareness and negotiation capability in high-stakes transactions. Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advisory support on complex cross-border treasury and debt finance transactions across 80+ jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with applicable legal frameworks and internal governance standards
- Act as legal right-hand to the Head of Legal, supporting strategic decision-making on syndicated lending, acquisition finance, and structured financing arrangements
- Draft, review, and negotiate LMA-based documentation and related financial agreements in collaboration with external counsel and internal stakeholders
- Advise on syndicated lending structures, acquisition finance deals, and corporate debt transactions while managing associated legal risks
- Engage and coordinate with senior stakeholders and top-tier external legal counsel to execute high-value financing transactions
- Conduct legal analysis of multi-jurisdictional financing arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency across legal systems
- Support negotiation processes for complex financial agreements, ensuring favorable legal and commercial outcomes for the organization
- Provide ongoing in-house legal counsel support for treasury and corporate finance activities within a fast-paced international environment
Experience & skills
- Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction such as UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, or Hong Kong
- Strong debt finance legal background gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal environment
- Proven experience in syndicated lending transactions and LMA (Loan Market Association) documentation
- Experience working on cross-border financing transactions in a multi-jurisdictional environment
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to support high-value financial negotiations
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and external counsel in complex legal environments
- Resilient, confident, and capable of handling high-pressure negotiation scenarios
- Experience in corporate finance or treasury legal advisory roles within international organisations is preferred
