Job description
The Head of Local Shops is responsible for leading talabat’s Local Shops vertical in Bahrain, owning strategy, execution, and operational excellence. The role requires defining market-level priorities, developing roadmaps, driving financial and commercial decisions, and ensuring a world-class customer experience. The position leads cross-functional alignment across product, operations, marketing, and regional teams to launch new products, optimize processes, and scale business performance. The role involves building partnerships, monitoring fulfillment operations, improving productivity, driving revenue, and setting KPIs and sales targets. The Head of Local Shops must translate talabat’s global vision into a localized strategy, balance stakeholder needs, and ensure fast, adaptable execution within a rapidly changing environment.

Key responsibilities
- Define strategic priorities and market roadmaps for the Local Shops vertical
- Lead execution of commercial, operational, and growth strategies
- Optimize processes and manage partnerships to support business expansion
- Collaborate closely with regional product, NFV, operations, and marketing teams
- Align local needs with technical capabilities to improve business performance
- Drive cross-functional coordination to scale internal and external operations

Experience & skills
- Hold at least 7 years of experience in a relevant management or strategic role
