Job description
The Delivery Director at Mace leads the execution of a major mixed-use residential programme in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This executive role is responsible for the safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery of multiple project packages. The position requires oversight of contractors, consultants, and internal delivery partners, ensuring alignment with master schedules, commercial objectives, and quality expectations. The director will provide strategic guidance, foster high-performing teams, and uphold robust governance and reporting frameworks across the programme.

Key responsibilities
- Lead safe, high-quality, and compliant project delivery while championing wellbeing and inclusion
- Provide strategic direction across key assignments, ensuring strong governance and trusted client relationships
- Oversee ethical and commercially robust operations and contribute to long-term business strategy
- Develop, mentor, and mobilize delivery teams, promoting innovation and best practices
- Act as the senior point of contact for internal delivery partners, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Manage interfaces across infrastructure, utilities, design, commercial, and programme controls
- Support procurement strategies, package sequencing, and contractor/tender evaluations
- Drive value engineering, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation strategies
- Lead executive reporting including dashboards, risk registers, mitigation plans, and performance summaries
Experience & skills
- 20+ years’ experience delivering major construction projects, particularly large-scale residential or mixed-use developments
- Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- Chartered status preferred (ICE, CIOB, PMI, or equivalent)
- Proven leadership of large, diverse teams and senior-level stakeholder management
- Experience in PMC, delivery partner, or Tier 1 contractor leadership roles
- Strong track record managing multi-package delivery on complex, fast-track programmes
- Necessary visa eligibility and relevant experience for Saudi Arabia
