Job description
The Front Office Supervisor in a luxury hotel oversees the daily operations of the front desk and reception team. The role involves supervising Receptionists during shifts, coordinating with other departments such as Butler, Housekeeping, and Engineering, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include reviewing logbooks, verifying equipment, handling guest complaints, implementing Front Office OSM standards, and maintaining professionalism at all times. The supervisor ensures guestsâ check-in and check-out processes are smooth, manages room allocation, special requests, and registrations, handles cashiering and foreign exchange transactions, conducts night audits, and oversees reservation processing. The position also requires monitoring team trainings, performing fire and first aid procedures, maintaining guest information accuracy, issuing room key cards, and ensuring effective guest security. Additional duties include upselling, VIP coordination, filing reports, and communicating shift updates to ensure seamless operations. Fluency in English and Arabic, proficiency with Property Management Systems, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success.

- Supervise all Receptionists during shifts, ensuring completion of daily tasks and smooth operation of front desk activities
- Review and update logbooks, check equipment, and ensure professional grooming and disposition of all team members
- Attend and monitor team trainings, enforce fire and first aid procedures, and implement Front Office OSM standards
- Handle guest complaints and requests, liaising with concerned departments, reporting escalations to managers as needed
- Coordinate daily operations including room allocation, registration, check-in/check-out, reservation processing, and guest information updates
- Manage cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audits, walk-in reservations, and ensure effective key card control for guest security
- Assist with information counter, business center, and other operational tasks as required, maintaining smooth communication with Housekeeping, F&B, and General Manager especially for VIPs
- Drive upselling initiatives, focus on guest interactions, maintain systematic documentation, and ensure smooth shift handovers for operational continuity
Experience & skills
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a luxury hotel front office environment
- Proficient in English and Arabic (verbal and written)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure
- Flexible with working hours and able to work on-site
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems and Windows OS
- Strong guest service skills, complaint resolution, and team coordination
- Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently
- Hospitality diploma is an asset
- Proactive, organized, positive attitude, and capable of motivating a team
- Experience with VIP handling, upselling, and implementing operational standards
