Job description
The Vice President – Group Accounting & Financial Reporting role is responsible for overseeing all accounting-related functions for a highly reputable Family Office with investments across multiple asset classes and geographies. The position leads group-level accounting operations including general ledger management, cash management, reconciliations, intercompany activities, and the full Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring robust controls and process integrity. The role manages group consolidation and statutory financial reporting in full compliance with IFRS and internal policies, coordinates consolidated audits at the parent company level, and oversees SPV audits required for tax purposes. The role collaborates closely with the Tax function to support corporate tax compliance and filings, ensuring the provision of accurate, auditable financial data. A key responsibility includes ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data flows from upstream investment systems into NetSuite. The position serves as the NetSuite power user and system owner, maintaining optimal configuration and utilization of the platform, while partnering with Finance, Technology, Data, and AI teams to optimize system integrations and implement AI and agentic applications. The role also leads governance and controls initiatives, designing and implementing policies, strengthening internal controls across entities, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and embedding best practices in financial reporting, consolidation, and system utilization. Key responsibilities
- Oversee all group accounting functions including general ledger, cash management, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and accounts payable cycles
- Manage group consolidation and statutory financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and internal policies
- Coordinate consolidated parent-level audits and SPV audits for tax purposes ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Collaborate with the Tax function to support corporate tax compliance and statutory filings
- Ensure accurate and complete financial data flows from investment systems into NetSuite
- Partner with Group Corporate functions on budgeting and management reporting activities
- Act as NetSuite system owner and power user, maintaining configurations and maximizing system capabilities
- Collaborate with Data and AI teams to review, design, test, and implement AI and agentic applications
- Optimize financial data integration between investment platforms and the general ledger
- Design and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen governance and internal controls
- Strengthen financial controls across cash management, intercompany transactions, SPV capitalization, and transfer pricing
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance
- Identify and implement best practices in financial reporting, consolidation, and accounting systems
Experience & skills
- Hold a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent
- Demonstrate a minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting experience including Big Four audit experience
- Possess strong technical expertise in IFRS, group consolidation, and statutory financial reporting
- Show proven experience managing audits and coordinating with external auditors
- Have hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar enterprise accounting systems
- Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency for financial modelling and analysis
- Bring experience within a family office, asset management, or investment holding company environment
