Job description
This Deal Desk Lead role sits within the Business Operations organization and reports to the Deal Desk Director, APJMEA, forming part of the regional Deal Desk function covering Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Japan. You will ensure sales transactions are structured and executed in full compliance with IFS commercial policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, safeguarding both customer outcomes and company integrity. The end-to-end deal approval lifecycle runs through the IFS Deal Approval Request (DAR) system, and owning that process means securing every approval before commercial terms or customer contracts get released. Deal validation and pricing reviews happen across relevant systems, confirming accurate application of pricing, discounting, financing arrangements, payment terms, and maintenance structures. Complex and non-standard deal scenarios get worked through in partnership with Sales, providing clear, pragmatic guidance that balances commercial agility with risk management. Revenue recognition and contractual considerations often need explaining to Sales, working alongside Finance, Legal, Revenue Recognition, Business Operations, and Market Unit or Business Unit Leaders to resolve issues efficiently. Existing customer contracts, renewals, and amendments get interpreted and analysed to keep clarity, consistency, and compliance intact. Alignment with Global Deal Desk policies needs maintaining, and supporting the adoption of policy updates, process improvements, and best practices across the region is part of the ongoing remit.
