Job description
NEOM seeks a highly experienced and strategic Operations Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of its Investigation Department. This role involves managing forensic operations, ensuring quality assurance of investigative work, and maintaining compliance with robust legal and regulatory standards. The director will be responsible for supervising forensic investigations, optimizing processes, advising on legal alignment, and mentoring teams while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The position demands strong leadership, deep operational expertise, and the ability to bridge forensic and legal requirements within a high-profile environment.

Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage end-to-end operational activities within the Investigation Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal frameworks.
- Supervise digital and physical forensic investigations; ensure proper handling, documentation, and analysis of evidence in accordance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality control measures and performance benchmarks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and excellence in investigative reporting.
- Design, evaluate, and continuously improve investigative workflows and protocols to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide strategic legal insight into operational processes, ensuring all investigations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Build and mentor a high-performing operations and investigation team; foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, HR, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of investigative activities.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all investigative processes and findings; present reports and insights to executive leadership.
- Embrace and uphold NEOMās culture, values, and Code of Conduct while ensuring ethical and professional practices.
- Maintain compliance with NEOMās policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to rules and regulatory standards.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās or masterās degree in Law, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in investigative operations, forensic services, legal compliance, or related fields.
- At least 7 years in a senior leadership or operations management role.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including forensic analysts, legal advisors, and compliance officers.
- Expertise in forensic methodologies and legal procedures.
- Track record of implementing quality and process improvements in investigative environments.
- Experience liaising with legal authorities or law enforcement agencies.
- Strong knowledge of local and international legal frameworks governing investigations and compliance.
- Proficiency in investigation tools, forensic software, and case management systems.
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and best operational practices.
- Experience with risk assessment, incident management, and legal advisory processes.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in sensitive environments.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Relevant professional memberships or accreditations are preferred.
