Job description
The Manager ā Technology Consulting (MRO Governance) at EY will lead governance and oversight for large-scale digital transformation programs, primarily within the defense and public sectors. This role demands a strategic thinker capable of implementing robust governance frameworks and managing program execution across multi-vendor environments. The Manager will serve as a key interface between program stakeholders, technology teams, and executive leadership, ensuring alignment, risk mitigation, and timely decision-making. The position combines deep expertise in ERP/MRO systems, defense sector processes, and digital program management to enable effective transformation delivery within complex government ecosystems.

Key responsibilities
- Lead governance design and implementation for large-scale technology and ERP/MRO transformation programs.
- Develop and operate governance structures, frameworks, and reporting models to ensure program alignment and compliance.
- Manage multi-vendor, multi-country program environments and facilitate structured collaboration across internal and external teams.
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders and executive leadership to provide governance insights, updates, and recommendations.
- Prepare governance documentation, agendas, and structured presentations for committees and leadership forums.
- Resolve conflicts, facilitate discussions, and ensure effective decision-making across governance bodies.
- Supervise and mentor teams of 5ā10 professionals to achieve high performance and accountability.
- Collaborate with functional leaders across HR, finance, procurement, and maintenance to ensure integrated governance coverage.
- Ensure effective program delivery through structured controls, milestone tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Leverage deep understanding of ERP (SAP/Oracle) and MRO systems to guide program design, configuration, and optimization.
- Maintain close alignment with government clients and defense stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance efficiency, structure, and stakeholder engagement practices.
- Provide subject-matter leadership on technology governance best practices and digital transformation execution.
Experience & skills
- 10ā15 years of professional experience managing large-scale digital transformation or ERP/MRO governance programs.
- Mandatory experience working with government or defense sector clients.
- Strong understanding of ERP and MRO systems (SAP, Oracle) and related business processes.
- Proven success in designing and implementing governance models within multi-vendor or complex environments.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate under high-pressure environments and manage multiple stakeholders across functions.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, with experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL preferred.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
