The Senior Specialist - Receiving plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of our distribution center operations by overseeing and optimizing the receiving processes. This senior specialist ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures, contributing to the overall success of the distribution center.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of receiving operations, including unloading, sorting, and processing inbound shipments.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of received shipments, including updating inventory systems and generating receiving reports.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the receiving operators, fostering a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to address receiving-related issues, coordinate deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with other departments, such as inventory control, warehouse management, purchasing, transportation, and quality control to streamline receiving processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to receiving, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement changes to enhance the efficiency of receiving operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements in the receiving area.
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of experience in distribution center receiving operations, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of receiving processes, inventory systems, and supply chain operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
